Description

Saturday, October 28, 2023 will be the LAST DANCE of the Bucks County Marathon for the foreseeable future.

SO LET’S DANCE, THE LAST DANCE!

The course is a double out-and-back of the concurrently run Delaware Canal Half Marathon.

Both courses are in their last year of USATF certification. Our races are USATF sanctioned. These fact mean that the 2023 Bucks County Marathon is a 2025 BAA Boston Marathon Qualifier.

The start and finish of both races are in the DCNR’s Washington Crossing Historic Park and runs along the towpath on the Delaware Canal State Park.

Both the Half and the Full races will begin at 8:45AM. The marathon course closes at 3:15PM

There is a time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes in the half marathon and 6 hours 30 minutes in the full marathon.

You will receive a CrackedBell commemorative long sleeve tech shirt and other swag.

There will be both Friday evening advanced packet pick-up and race morning pick-up available.

There is limited free parking within a few hundred yards in Washington Crossing Historic Park.

Your family and friends can see you a few times along the course with just a little effort.

The area is car friendly. Public transportation is not viable in the immediate area, though the race site and hotels are not far from Hamilton, Trenton and Yardley train stations, Trenton Mercer Airport and the I-95, I-295, Pennsylvania Turnpike corridor. RideSharing services are abundant in the area.

We pride ourself in great post-race food.

The course runs on the towpath and in some portions of the course is a narrow ribbon of trail between the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River in bucolic Bucks County.

The course is 8 feet wide, and that’s out-and-back (or double-out-and-back), and the parks are open to the public. Especially for this reason please don’t ask if you can run with your very well behaved dog, cat or ferret. You may be joined by Canada geese, whitetail deer, turtles, foxes and more. It is especially cool when the heron shows up.

There are portions of the course that are paved blacktop but a majority of the course is packed argillite (like a cinder track).

There will be a complete RUNNERS and spectator GUIDE in the week just before the race with all the latest race information.

PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS and community standards may alter some plans. By registering herein you agree to abide to any and all COVID and other health restrictions which may be in place at the time of the event. Non compliance could be grounds for disqualification and do not constitute a reason for refund. As this is the ultimate year of the Bucks County Marathon there will be no refunds, transfers or deferrals.

We’re going to kick up the fun. This is the last dance! The theme will be dance party related. We’re working on a disco ball design for our finisher medals. The start-finish are will be festive. It is also Halloween Weekend! We are not opposed to costumes as long as they don’t get left on our narrow course. We may even find you a location to go out and dance Saturday night, so consider spending the weekend in Bucks County!

There will also be a water station contest. If you’d care to volunteer your group and theme out your hydration station we’d love to talk to you!

DISCOUNT CODES. We like to offer everyone the lowest prices we can. The earlier you register the more you save. Let's face it those other races are artificially inflating their fees so they can track where you found out about their event, and that data is often flawed.
